Simply Business teams up with Appalachian Underwriters to offer general liability solutions

Simply Business, a Boston-based digital insurance company, has partnered with Appalachian Underwriters (AUI) to offer general liability solutions.

Simply Business said it is changing the way small business owners find business insurance by offering customers tailored insurance coverage online.

The company began in the UK and expanded to the US in 2017, naming Boston home.

With over 900,000 customers globally, Simply Business has become a leader in the space through its commitment to a customer-first model, focusing heavily on simplicity, choice and value.

A full-service MGA and wholesale insurance brokerage, AUI serves over 30,000 independent agencies nationwide.

The company specialises in transportation risks with a dedicated brokerage team to help retail agents place their transportation-related accounts.

The partnership will see Simply Business provide general liability insurance through AUI.

Earlier this year, Cover Whale Insurance Solutions, a commercial trucking InsurTech partnered with Appalachian Underwriters.

Cover Whale is on a mission is to help make roads safer and save lives using advanced telematics and proprietary technology.

The new partnership, according to Cover Whale, will create wider distribution of its offerings, while broadening its insurance capacity to serve more of America’s truck drivers, a traditionally underserved segment of the insurance market.

In parallel, AUI will deliver a differentiated solution enabling its retail agent partners to better serve existing clients and win new business.
