Monex Europe, a corporate FX and hedging provider, has named Tim Philip as its new global operations director, subject to regulatory approval.
Based in the UK, Philip will report to Nick Edgeley, who is the chief executive officer at Monex Europe.
Tim will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations, projects and legal teams in the UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Canada, Luxembourg and Singapore, with a focus on implementing operational best practice and driving strategic thinking across the business.
A chartered accountant, Tim joins Monex Europe with over 20 years’ experience under his belt. Prior to joining Monex, he spent seven years as Global Chief Operating Officer at fintech Salary Finance Ltd, a firm he helped found. In this role, Tim spearheaded team-led innovation across the business as it moved from start-up to scale-up.
He has also held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group and Orange and was a Management Consultant at PA Consulting.
Philip said, “Europe is at a very exciting stage in its growth journey, and I greatly look forward to leveraging my experience in both the structured corporate and fast-growth fintech worlds to realise the growth aspirations of the business.”
