Securian Financial and Reclaim Health: maximising supplemental health benefits through AI

Securian Financial, a diversified company offering insurance, investment and retirement solutions, has allied with Reclaim Health, a proactive, claims-driven health financial advocacy platform.

This collaboration is set to leverage AI-powered claims analytics to optimise benefits for Securian Financial’s supplemental health insurance customers.

The partnership aims to increase benefit utilisation and manage supplemental health benefits claims more effectively. Securian Financial’s customers can now opt to integrate their medical claims with Reclaim’s platform, which utilises AI to match insurance records, assess benefit eligibility, and proactively notify eligible employees to submit their claims.

Securian Financial is renowned for offering supplemental health benefits, including accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness insurance, to employers nationwide. It stands as the nation’s third-largest direct writer of group life insurance. Reclaim Health, on the other hand, is distinguished by its proprietary AI and optimisation algorithms that power its proactive claims-driven health financial advocacy tool.

The collaboration is poised to address a significant issue, as Ross Stedman, Securian Financial second vice president of business services, explained, “While more employers are offering supplemental health benefits…some employees fail to seek claims for benefit payments in which they are entitled,” Stedman said. “It’s important to our customers that the claims experience is fast, easy and personalised, and this medical claim integration solution really checks all those boxes.”

This integration service powered by Reclaim is available at no additional cost to all Securian Financial supplemental health insurance customers, further illustrating the companies’ commitment to improving the healthcare financial advocacy experience for their clients.
