Lombard Odier Investment Managers has teamed with Systemiq, a sustainability-focused firm, to launch a new investment enterprise.
Together, they’re launching holistiQ Investment Partners, a fresh player in the world of sustainable investment platforms within LOIM’s existing structure.
The objective behind this partnership is to blend LOIM’s renowned expertise in asset management and investment with Systemiq’s deep understanding and skillset in transforming economic systems. The result? A state-of-the-art, sustainable investing platform that represents a new benchmark in this rapidly evolving sector.
Founded in 2016, Systemiq concentrates its efforts on five key areas for systemic change: energy, nature and food, materials, the built environment, and finance. The company advises on policy and business practice reshaping, whilst also incubating and investing in early-stage businesses focused on sustainable transitions. With a certified B Corp status, Systemiq is fully committed to supporting the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Meanwhile, LOIM is an established global leader in the field of wealth and asset management. The company is renowned for its asset management and investment expertise, and this partnership signals its commitment to sustainable investment as a cornerstone of its future strategy.
The newly-minted collaboration will capitalise on the transformation of key economic systems, like energy, land and oceans, and materials. holistiQ Investment Partners will offer a range of investment strategies across public and private markets, with a dedicated pillar focusing on nature-based solutions.
At the helm of holistiQ will be Systemiq Managing Partner Taraneh Azad, and Jean-Pascal Porcherot, Lombard Odier Managing Partner in charge of the asset management business. Backed by a robust team of over 100 professionals, holistiQ promises to be a research-driven platform that will turn science-based research into innovative investment strategies.
Systemiq Founding/Senior Partner Jeremy Oppenheim said, “To build a net positive global economy $5-6tn of investment capital needs to be deployed across the world every year, most of this will be private capital. Combining the best research capabilities from across the two houses, we will develop distinctive investment strategies with clear convictions based on both scientific and economic insights.”
Meanwhile, Hubert Keller, Senior Managing Partner at Lombard Odier, commented: “holistiQ exemplifies Lombard Odier’s commitment to continuously develop leading investment solutions to meet the needs of our clients, underpinning our commitment to serving them as a leading sustainable investor focused on delivering performance. We look forward to deepening our existing relationship with Systemiq through this partnership.”
