Virgin Money appoints Allegra Patrizi Managing Director Business and Commercial 

Virgin Money has announced the appointment of Allegra Patrizi as the Managing Director Business and Commerical.

She is set to succeed Hugh Chater in the role, as he steps down from the leadership team and moves into the role of Senior Advisor, ahead of his expected retirement at the end of 2024.

Patrizi joins the company woth 20 years of work in the financial sector under her belt, and most recently worked as CEO of the Dutch insurance company Aegon. 

Allegra Patrizi said: “With a strong strategy built on the foundations of its incredible Purpose of Making you happier about money, it is clear there are exciting things to come for Virgin Money.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the bank to support its journey to becoming the UK’s best digital bank.” 

Patrizi is set to begin her tenure at Virgin Money at the end of August, subject to regulatory approval. 

David Duffy, Virgin Money CEO spoke confidently about her future at the company: “The Commercial function is at the forefront of the design and delivery of our products, which benefit our customers and sits at the heart of our growth strategy.  

“I’m certain Allegra will help us build upon the great work that has been achieved by the team so far. With her expertise, drive and insight, Allegra will be integral in our continued drive to becoming the UK’s best digital bank.” 

Earlier this year, Virgin Money also teamed up with FNZ to launch a brand new investment solution.
