Burns & Wilcox has welcomed Bob Quillman and Doug Legters, who will both be taking on the positions of Regional VPs on its executive team.

Burns & Wilcox is a leading global wholesale insurance brokerage and underwriting firm, known for its expansive capabilities and reputation as the industry’s go-to wholesaler.

Bob Quillman is set to take on his role based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office, directly reporting to Blaise D’Antoni, the Executive Vice President for the Eastern United States at Burns & Wilcox. Quillman’s remit spans the entire Texas region, including the supervision of the state’s three major offices in Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.

On the other hand, Doug Legters, with his extensive 25-year industry tenure, will be operating out of the New Jersey and New York offices, also reporting to D’Antoni. Legters will be overseeing the performance of Burns & Wilcox throughout the Northeast region.

Quillman boasts an impressive 30-year track record in the industry. He formerly spearheaded national and regional sales teams at Kemper Insurance and started his career at State Farm, climbing the ladder from a Commercial Lines Underwriter to various leadership roles in underwriting, sales, and marketing.

Concurrently, Legters, prior to this new role, held the position of Senior Vice President at AXA XL, overseeing all U.S. wholesale distribution. His past credentials also include serving as the Managing Director and New York Division Chief at AmWins Program Underwriters, along with multiple leadership roles at New York-based MGAs.

Burns & Wilcox is strategically positioning strong regional leadership across the U.S. with the intention of leveraging the knowledge, insights, and positive influences both Quillman and Legters will bring to the table. The company is keen on advancing its aggressive growth strategy, especially across Texas, as they continue on their expansion trajectory.

Burns & Wilcox President Danny Kaufman said, “As Burns & Wilcox continues to add top talent and build onto its extensive capabilities as the industry’s go-to wholesaler, we are positioning strong regional leadership across the U.S. We look forward to capitalizing on the expertise, acumen and very positive impact Bob and Doug will have on our business.”

Regarding Quillman’s appointment, D’Antoni added, “Well-known and respected throughout the Texas insurance community for many years, Bob provides a solid foundation of industry relationships and connections. His underwriting and team building leadership will help us continue to provide the upmost expertise and solutions to our retail brokers and agents as well as carrier partners.”
