Reseda Group fuels Goalsetter's innovative FinTech journey with $1m investment

Reseda Group, a credit union service organisation fully owned by MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), has announced a partnership with the FinTech star, Goalsetter.

Their collaboration aims to sculpt the upcoming generation of savers, investors, and credit union enthusiasts by infusing advanced financial tools and educational resources.

The partnership involves a $1m investment from Reseda Group into Goalsetter. As part of this deal, MSUFCU plans to brand Goalsetter’s reputed youth banking platform, thereby nurturing its future membership base. Beyond this, MSUFCU will roll out the Goalsetter Classroom curriculum to local educational institutions and community groups across its branches. A recent study in 2023 revealed that the Goalsetter Classroom amplified the financial competence of student users by a staggering 43%, hitting a high of 90% in financial literacy mastery.

Delving deeper into Goalsetter’s offerings, it offers an acclaimed platform that combines the allure of pop culture, memes, GIFs, and game-based learning to create financial tools and educational resources. Such an approach resonates with the digital-native Generation Z, allowing institutions like MSUFCU to offer tailored services to younger clients.

Tanya Van Court, CEO of Goalsetter commented, “We are proud to bring these solutions to the MSUFCU member community alongside Reseda Group, an organisation pivotal to the growth and ongoing success of the Goalsetter platform.”

April Clobes, President and CEO of Reseda Group and MSUFCU, shared her insights, stating, “Reseda Group is proud to invest in Goalsetter as we see it as the prime solution for credit unions aiming to engage and keep the next generation of members. This partnership complements our CUSO’s goal to enhance member experiences, and with Goalsetter, credit unions can amplify brand resonance with Gen Z members, elevate deposits, and enhance membership numbers – all vital for the continued growth and success of our industry.”

As additional information, Reseda Group, located in East Lansing, Michigan, was established in 2021 to help credit unions stay ahead of the curve by offering superior products and services. They achieve this by investing in strategic alliances that usher in state-of-the-art technology, digital tools, and solutions specific to the credit union sector. On the other hand, Goalsetter, which began its journey in 2016, has carved a niche for itself as a platform encouraging families to inculcate saving, investing, and smart spending habits.
