Identifying compatible, secure software is the top priority for FinTech buyers in 2024

A recent report by Gartner reveals the priorities for software buyers in 2024. As part of the study 542 software purchasing decision-makers were surveyed who work in banking, investments, asset or wealth management, or similar roles in the industry about the top challenges when buying FinTech software.

Sensitive information holds significant importance within the financial sector, bringing forth distinct complexities in devising technology investment strategies. Consequently, 41% of respondents express apprehension regarding security concerns when procuring software, while an equivalent percentage grapple with the task of pinpointing the most suitable technology to align with their operational needs. Compounding the intricacies of software selection is the imperative requirement for seamless integration with their internal infrastructures and harmonious interoperability with payment processors, financial institutions, and other critical components underpinning the economic landscape. It is likely the reason why more than a third of businesses cite the search for software solutions compatible with their existing systems as a paramount challenge.
