Theta Lake, a multi-award-winning provider of digital communications governance and archiving solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its platform, introducing over 150 new features designed to strengthen compliance and risk management.
The firm, recognised in Gartner’s Critical Capabilities report and recipient of UC Today’s Compliance Product of the Year award, has positioned itself as a leader in helping organisations address regulatory and security challenges in modern communications.
The company said the launch builds on the release of its AI Governance and Inspection Suite, developed to ensure safe and compliant use of emerging AI communication tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Zoom AI Companion. As more organisations adopt these technologies, Theta Lake is aiming to provide firms with the controls needed to meet security and compliance requirements.
Founded with the mission to provide a unified digital communications governance and archiving (DCGA) platform, Theta Lake offers solutions that eliminate the inefficiencies of siloed eComms archives and compliance voice recording systems. Its Compliance and Risk Suite integrates capture, archiving, supervision, surveillance, user governance, and data protection to provide a comprehensive oversight framework.
The new release enhances three core modules within the suite: Unified Capture, Unified Search & Archiving, and Proactive Compliance. Unified Capture enables the collection and reconciliation of communications across platforms and tools, with support for off-channel messaging and real-time risk analysis. Unified Search & Archiving provides investigations and eDiscovery capabilities at scale, while Proactive Compliance strengthens detection, incident response, and remediation processes.
Among the enhancements, over 80 innovations were added to Unified Capture, including new integrations with messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE and Signal, as well as support for Zoom Clips, Instagram for Business, and Jira. Unified Search & Archiving received more than 30 new features, including expanded data export, unified identity-based reporting, and increased storage flexibility. Proactive Compliance saw over 50 additions, including new detection classifiers, expanded language support, AI-powered compliance advisory tools, and explainability features for risk review teams.
The company said these upgrades would allow firms to modernise their compliance frameworks while reducing false positives and wasted review time. By embedding corrective controls, the platform helps organisations measurably cut conduct, data security, and regulatory risks.
Theta Lake chief product officer Dan Nadir said, “Our latest innovations illustrate where our clients are going, increasingly looking to adopt new AI functionality in the workplace and in Theta Lake across meshed, multi-platform UCC environments, and in doing so, seeking superior DCGA capabilities to ensure regulatory alignment and better compliance and security outcomes. Our new capabilities enable them to modernize their communication choices and embrace the rapidly accelerating need for not just inspecting these new aiComms, but also for ensuring strong AI Governance.”
ZK Research principal analyst Zeus Kerravala said, “With over 150 new capabilities spanning AI governance, mobile messaging, social media, project management, and more, Theta Lake is setting the pace for what modern Digital Communications Governance should look like. Organizations today need DCGA solutions that not only keep up with the rapid evolution of communication tools, but also make compliance faster, more accurate, more scalable, and more cost-effective. Theta Lake continues to lead the way by delivering unified, innovative capabilities that address compliance challenges across every channel and modality.”
