CurrencyFair selects AiPrise to streamline global onboarding

AiPrise

CurrencyFair has partnered with AiPrise, a RegTech platform specialising in unified onboarding, fraud prevention and automated risk assessment.

The collaboration was initiated to help CurrencyFair replace a fragmented network of KYC and KYB tools, accumulated as the business expanded into multiple jurisdictions, with a single platform capable of standardising onboarding, enhancing fraud controls and simplifying compliance workflows across more than 100 countries.

CurrencyFair delivers cross-border money transfers, enabling customers to send and receive funds internationally with a focus on secure, compliant and efficient service. As the company has grown, it has had to manage increasingly complex regulatory requirements, numerous vendors and varied onboarding flows across regions.

AiPrise provides a consolidated onboarding and fraud-control platform, allowing firms to verify individuals and businesses through one integration. Its technology connects to over 200 registries and data sources and creates unified customer profiles, risk scoring, ongoing monitoring and AI-supported case preparation for compliance teams.

The partnership streamlines CurrencyFair’s operations by replacing multiple vendor relationships, portals and review flows with a single system. AiPrise enables one risk score per profile by combining identity checks, registry information, sanctions screening, device and digital signals, making risk ratings more explainable and consistent.

The platform also transforms onboarding from a one-off check into a continuous control. AiPrise monitors for updates such as new sanctions, changes in beneficial ownership, shifting registry data or behavioural risk patterns. This helps CurrencyFair stay ahead of fraudulent activity without adding extra manual workload. AiPrise’s AI agents synthesise documents, extract fields and compile risk summaries, allowing analysts to focus on higher-risk decisions while retaining full control.

The firms share a long-term focus on ensuring that international money transfers remain secure despite evolving fraud patterns and increasing regulatory expectations. By consolidating workflows and improving visibility, the partnership aims to support CurrencyFair as it enters new markets, launches new products and strengthens its risk framework.

AiPrise CEO Chaitanya Sarda said, “Behind every transfer is a person or business that simply needs the money to arrive safely. CurrencyFair has built that trust over many years. Our role is to give their teams one platform to manage risk, compliance, and fraud, and to surface changes in risk as they happen, so they can stay ahead without slowing customers down.”

CurrencyFair president Jan Lorenc said, “Scammers are getting more sophisticated and expectations from regulators and customers continue to rise. Migrating from multiple vendors to AiPrise has strengthened our ability to prevent fraudulent accounts from being opened and to monitor risk across the customer lifecycle. It is one more way we make sure that people who choose CurrencyFair can move money across borders with confidence.”
