Nittedal municipality, a local government authority in Norway, has selected Tieto Caretech’s Lifecare Workforce Planner to modernise its staff resource management.
The municipality will deploy the solution to consolidate shift planning, time and attendance registration, absence management, and workforce overview into a single platform. A key factor in the selection was the solution’s user-friendly employee and manager portal, which is expected to drive efficiency gains and improve workflows across municipal services.
The platform is designed to ensure staff schedules comply with the Working Environment Act while also factoring in employees’ shift preferences. This is intended to support managers in protecting employee wellbeing, reducing workplace strain, and improving job satisfaction.
Tieto Caretech provides digital solutions for health and social care organisations, with its Lifecare portfolio designed to help municipalities and hospitals streamline and modernise workforce management operations.
Nittedal municipality head of HR, digitalisation and organisational development Tommy Liberg said, “We look forward to implementing the solution and to our collaboration. For us, it is essential to have a tool that supports integrated workforce planning across municipal services. We believe we have chosen a system that meets our cross-sector needs.”
Tieto Caretech customer manager Vera Kejr said, “Effective staffing planning is about giving managers better governance tools and employees greater predictability. Our ambition is to support municipalities and hospitals with solutions that make them better equipped to meet both current and future needs. Nittedal is taking an important step in that direction.”
