ANNA Money launches business savings account for SMEs

ANNA Money launches business savings

ANNA Money, an AI-powered business account platform focused on automating tax admin for UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced a series of product updates headlined by the introduction of a new business savings bank account.

The centrepiece of the launch is a business savings account developed in partnership with Griffin, a UK bank serving FinTechs and platforms. The account carries FSCS protection on eligible deposits of up to £120,000 and offers a promotional 3.66% AER variable interest rate across all pricing plans during the first three months of opening. The rate tracks the Bank of England base rate.

Designed with small business cash flow in mind, the account allows customers to set funds aside for upcoming tax bills or future costs without locking money away. Users can move funds freely between their business account and savings, with both visible within the ANNA app, removing the need to manage separate providers.

Alongside the savings launch, ANNA, which recently won the Accounting Tech of the Year award at the UK FinTech Awards 2026, has introduced several additional features. Customers can now verify their identity during onboarding by linking an existing bank account via Open Banking, streamlining the sign-up process. Tax filing capabilities have also been broadened, with business partners now able to submit personal tax returns through the platform using guided steps and automated calculations. A further addition allows users to upload credit card statements, with ANNA’s AI automatically extracting and categorising the transactions.

The company has indicated that further updates are in the pipeline, including additional tax support for landlords and users with multiple income streams.

ANNA Money co-founder and co-CEO Boris Diakonov said, “Small business owners are dealing with increasing complexity, from tax changes to rising administrative burdens. Our job is to remove that pressure wherever we can. Every product we launch is shaped by what our customers tell us they need, whether that’s faster onboarding, simpler tax filing or better ways to manage their money.

“With the launch of our business savings account and this latest set of updates, we’re continuing to build towards a future where business owners can run everything from one place – without the usual friction. Our award win reflects our continued innovation in this space.”
