Pictet AM selects SimCorp to unify its trading platform

Pictet Asset Management, the $326bn assets under management investment firm and long-standing SimCorp client, has expanded its relationship with the financial technology provider to overhaul its trading and operations infrastructure.

The asset manager will deploy the SimCorp One platform across its front-, middle-, and back-office functions, consolidating multiple core systems into a single, unified data layer. Pictet AM has worked with SimCorp on back-office capabilities since 2008, and this latest agreement represents a significant broadening of that partnership. The implementation is scheduled for completion by December 2026.

The firm will retain its in-house proprietary trading tools by connecting them to SimCorp One via application programming interfaces (APIs), allowing it to preserve its competitive trading strategies while benefiting from the platform’s data efficiency and scalability.

Pictet AM co-head of fixed income trading James Frew said, “As our business has expanded, managing fragmented systems and disconnected datasets across front-, middle-, and back-office functions has become increasingly complex. SimCorp One provides an integrated front-to-back platform built on a unified data layer, enabling efficient trade execution and faster pre- and post-trade processing.”

SimCorp chief revenue officer Oliver Johnson said, “A unified data foundation empowers investment teams to make more confident investment decisions. We are excited to strengthen our partnership with Pictet Asset Management and support their investment teams with easier access to centralized, real-time data. SimCorp One delivers the integrated technology capabilities that help sophisticated asset managers reduce complexity across their businesses.”
