ING and bolttech team up on embedded insurance

ING has selected bolttech as a strategic partner to expand embedded insurance and protection solutions across multiple European markets.

The partnership is already operational in the Netherlands, Italy, Poland and Belgium, with further markets expected to follow. The collaboration has been launched in conjunction with ING’s new global subscriptions model, which forms part of the bank’s broader strategy to scale embedded insurance across its European footprint.

The two companies will combine ING’s international customer network with bolttech’s technology-driven insurance platform and servicing capabilities. The aim is to make it easier for customers to access protection products at scale, while cutting the operational complexity that typically comes with running multi-market programmes.

ING is a major European financial institution with a wide international presence and an established retail customer base. bolttech is a technology-enabled insurance platform operating globally, with particular expertise in embedded insurance distribution and servicing.

ING global head of private individuals Sali Salieski said, “We are committed to continually evolving our customer offering and exploring new ways to deliver value to customers. Our partnership with bolttech supports this ambition and reflects our focus on innovation, simplicity and customer-led experiences across our international markets.”

bolttech EMEA CEO Stephan Tan said, “We are proud to partner with ING as part of our shared ambition to support the future of insurance and protection services. By combining bolttech’s global platform and insurance expertise with ING’s strong customer reach and trusted brand, we see significant opportunities to deliver innovative and customer-centric protection solutions at scale.”
