Seltzer Group Partners, a Pennsylvania insurance provider, has acquired Trego Insurance Agency, expanding its presence and capabilities in Berks County.
The deal brings Trego’s commercial and personal lines expertise into Seltzer Group Partners, strengthening the insurance services available to clients in the region. The acquisition also gives Seltzer a renewed physical presence in Berks County, where it already has an established client base.
Trego Insurance Agency was founded as an independent agency in 2020 and has built its business around local relationships, personalised service and a broad selection of insurance products. Led by principal Steve Trego, the agency has served customers across Pennsylvania and neighbouring states.
The acquisition builds on an existing relationship between the two businesses. Trego and Seltzer have worked within the same independent insurance network, providing a foundation for the companies to align their operations and approach to client service.
The combined business plans to maintain a client-first approach, with trust and long-term relationships remaining central to how it delivers insurance services.
Founded in 1948, Seltzer Group Partners provides insurance solutions to individuals and businesses across Pennsylvania. The company works with clients to develop insurance coverage based on their specific requirements, alongside risk management guidance and ongoing support.
