MindBridge and Fieldguide join forces on audit risk

MindBridge Analytics, an Ottawa-based financial intelligence provider, has partnered with Fieldguide, a San Francisco-based AI platform for audit and advisory firms, to bring full-population financial analytics into Fieldguide’s engagement workflows.

The integration will make MindBridge’s transaction-level analysis available directly within Fieldguide, allowing audit and advisory professionals to use financial risk insights alongside the platform’s agentic AI capabilities. MindBridge analyses an entire set of financial transactions using explainable AI, helping identify potential risks and provide additional context throughout an engagement.

The companies believe combining the two platforms can help firms improve both the efficiency and quality of audit engagements, while retaining professional judgement in key decisions. As audit firms increasingly introduce intelligent and agentic automation, having reliable financial and risk information becomes increasingly important.

Through the integration, professionals will be able to access MindBridge’s analysis within Fieldguide when carrying out risk assessments, engagement planning, journal entry testing, risk-based sampling and continuous monitoring.

MindBridge positions its platform around what it calls Autonomous Financial Oversight. Its technology analyses transactions across an organisation’s financial systems, with the aim of identifying risks earlier, explaining findings and supporting action. The company argues that increasing automation in financial processes creates a greater need for independent oversight.

Fieldguide provides an AI-native platform for audit and advisory firms, combining professionals with agentic AI across the engagement lifecycle. The company says its technology is used by more than 50 of the top 100 audit and advisory firms. Fieldguide is headquartered in San Francisco and counts Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Bessemer Venture Partners, 8VC, Y Combinator and Thomson Reuters among its backers.

MindBridge CEO Les Rechan said, “Firms are moving fast to adopt AI across the audit lifecycle, but speed only helps if the underlying financial analysis can be trusted. By integrating MindBridge’s augmented assurance capabilities into Fieldguide’s AI-native workflow, we’re giving audit teams the evidence they need to move quickly without losing rigor.”

Fieldguide co-founder and CEO Jin Chang said, “Audit teams don’t just need task-level automation. They need better inputs and workflows for AI agents to execute at the highest quality. Bringing MindBridge’s financial analysis into our agentic AI platform means Field Agents and practitioners are working from the same trusted risk signal from planning through reporting.”

The partnership highlights a growing focus on the quality of data underpinning AI-driven audit processes. Rather than using agentic AI solely to automate individual tasks, firms can combine automated workflows with transaction-level analysis to help determine where professional attention should be focused.
