Every know-your-business (KYB) vendor’s homepage promises “end-to-end” coverage, but the phrase does different work depending on who is using it. For some, it means data plus a dashboard.
According to AiPrise, for others, it simply means the API has several endpoints. Rarely does it mean what compliance leaders actually need: the full lifecycle of a business relationship, from the first onboarding form through to a sanctions alert two years later, handled inside one system.
That lifecycle breaks into five stages. Collection is when a business submits its details and documents. Verification checks those claims against registries and data sources. Risk scoring turns verified data into a decision path. Review and decisioning brings in human judgment, with documentation.
Monitoring keeps the profile under watch, since ownership, sanctions status, and registry standing all shift after day one. A genuine business relationship runs through all five stages; a point-in-time check only covers two.
The market typically sells slices rather than the whole. Data vendors offer deep registry and firmographic information but leave collection, scoring, review, and monitoring to the buyer.
Identity checkers are built for document and biometric verification, then stretched to cover KYB. Orchestration layers coordinate vendors a business already contracts with, but do not replace them. Case and workflow tools manage queues and audit notes while expecting verification data to arrive from elsewhere.
Stitching these slices together carries what amounts to an integration tax. Each vendor brings its own contract, DPA, renewal, and support line. The connections between them become glue code that engineering teams must maintain indefinitely, with no vendor roadmap behind it. Analysts swivel between portals, and audit trails end up fragmented across systems, reconciled by hand whenever an examiner asks a question that spans all three.
AiPrise is positioning itself as the alternative, covering all five stages through a single API and dashboard.
The platform verifies against more than 200 countries and over 100 data sources, drawing on more than 800 business data points per entity, while AI agents handle first-pass reviews of documents, websites, and screening hits. AiPrise said straightforward checks complete in three to five minutes, with customers automating up to 80% of verification workflows.
Two customer results illustrate the pitch: Conduit cut business onboarding from three weeks to 72 hours, and BlindPay automated 90% of its KYC and KYB checks within its first month.
