Markel, the insurance arm of Markel Group Inc., has announced bolstered its war and terrorism team through the appointment of a new senior underwriter.
The global speciality insurer has added Tim Woodhouse to its ranks to support its capabilities in navigating the complex and ever-evolving risks associated with war, terrorism, and political violence.
Woodhouse will be based at Markel’s London office and report to Ed Winter, Director of Terrorism. His role will be pivotal in fortifying Markel’s position in this challenging landscape.
Woodhouse has over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, notably as Divisional Director of Terrorism and Political Violence at Howden, and as Managing Director of Political Violence at Dual Corporate Risks. His leadership positions at Novae Group and StarStone Insurance further underscore his seasoned background within the sector.
