Italian advisory and analytics firm Prometeia has expanded its European footprint with the launch of a representative office in Frankfurt.
The German city is home to the European Central Bank (ECB), making it the focal point for monetary policy decisions and banking supervisory activity across the eurozone.
The move builds on years of work Prometeia has carried out alongside European banks on compliance and regulatory matters. The firm’s approach blends methodological rigour with hands-on familiarity with supervisory processes and the technology that underpins them.
Prometeia’s credibility in this space is underscored by its continued involvement in some of the ECB’s most demanding oversight work. For the second consecutive time, the firm has been selected by the ECB to assist with on-site inspections and investigations into European banks’ internal models under the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM).
In this capacity, Prometeia works alongside a carefully chosen group of leading international consulting and audit firms, contributing independent assessments to the banking supervisor’s review processes.
Prometeia chairman Angelo Tantazzi said, “The Frankfurt office is the natural evolution of our journey. We have been present for years in the institutional heart of European banking, through the concrete work our teams carry out with and for EU institutions. This presence solidifies and makes visible a dedication that was already real, available to clients and partners operating within the regulatory and supervisory framework.”
Prometeia provides financial institutions with tools that turn data into actionable intelligence to anticipate change, manage risk and capitalise on new opportunities.
