Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), the global business data and analytics firm, is partnering with Anthropic to embed its risk and compliance data directly into the Claude AI platform, aiming to accelerate corporate onboarding and KYC/KYB processes for regulated businesses.
The collaboration centres on integrating D&B’s Commercial Graph™ into Claude via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing clients to build tailored know-your-customer and know-your-business workflows within minutes. The integration is designed to replace manual processes and siloed tools with a single automated onboarding workflow, enabling agentic systems to handle tasks that previously required significant human intervention.
Financial institutions and other regulated organisations will be able to use D&B data within Claude to onboard new corporate clients rapidly, with the system automatically verifying business identity, ownership structures, and risk profiles, while also generating audit-ready documentation. The foundation of this capability is the globally recognised D-U-N-S® Number business identifier, which provides a persistent, verified view of business identity that agents can reason against.
Through the MCP-based integration, users gain secure access to D&B’s Commercial Graph for several purposes: verifying the identities of businesses across complex ownership and control structures; assessing exposure across global third-party and supplier networks; automating onboarding agents that incorporate real-time risk intelligence; and automating the creation of risk decision documentation.
Dun & Bradstreet is a provider of business data, analytics, and insights, serving clients across financial services and other regulated sectors with tools designed to support risk management and commercial decision-making.
Dun & Bradstreet general manager of risk Alex Zuck said, “What makes this integration powerful is that Claude isn’t just being given more data; it’s being given the verified context and decision logic required to act. That means outputs that are not only personalized to the user and situation, but also explainable, auditable, and consistent, all essential components for organizations to act with confidence in high‑stakes, regulated environments.”
Zuck added, “Agents in onboarding workflows must understand who they’re dealing with. D&B gives Claude a persistent, verified view of business identity through the D‑U‑N‑S Number, as well as the context required to reason about ownership, control, and risk. By bringing this business‑verification layer into Claude, we’re helping organizations move faster on onboarding without compromising safety, accountability, or trust.”
