E-commerce solution ConversionPoint Technologies acquires Sellpoints

E-commerce services provider ConversionPoint Technologies has acquired sales solution Sellpoints in an undisclosed transaction.

Sellpoints is an e-commerce technology provider that helps brands and retailers to sell more online by attracting shoppers through acquisition channels and predictive advertising. The solution engages shoppers with relevant products to increase consumer interaction, it then tracks these involvements alongside all transactions to compile customer analytics.

ConversionPoint is group of e-commerce technology solutions that help brands with the entire digital sales sector. The company has offerings for online payments, AI-enabled media optimization, CRM, and robust post-purchase modules that automate product delivery and remarketing.

ConversionPoint Technologies CEO Robert Tallack said, “The acquisition of Sellpoints reflects our growth strategy aimed at addressing the rising costs of e-Commerce customer acquisition and typical lack of ROI focus when selling directly, through online retail or on Amazon.”

Over the years, Sellspoints has raised up to $15m in funding, with investors including Menlo Ventures, Granite Ventures and IBM, all of which will continue to be ConversionPoint shareholders.

The e-commerce sub-sector is the largest segment of the payments and remittances sector last year, with it accounting for around 41 per cent of investments. Mobile payments is the next biggest area, with it taking a 40 per cent share of the total funding.
