Insurtech Gateway incubator closes round of £2.5m led by Moxley Holdings

Moxley Holdings, the venture capital firm, has supported UK InsurTech incubator Insurtech Gateway with a £2.5m investment.

The money will be used to help Insurtech Gateway grow its portfolio from ten to 30 startups by 2022.

“The emerging opportunities created by the convergence of predictive data and insurance models appear almost boundless,” said Stephen Brittain, co-founder at Insurtech Gateway. “Moxley Holdings compliments our vision to bring these capabilities together and build the next generation of InsurTechs.”

Joel Moxley, founder of Moxley Holding, added, “[Insurtech] Gateway is the place where the rubber meets the road, bringing bold new ideas to the insurance market. We love how their licensed launch platform allows entrepreneurs to stay independent, while having access to valuable resources. We are looking forward to our data expertise enhancing the already amazing Gateway team.”

Insurtech Gateway has already proven itself an active investor, having been the most active InsurTech investor in the world in the first three quarters of 2019, according to FinTech Global’s data.
