Broadridge to enhance portfolio management through latest acquisition

Portfolio solution developer Broadridge Financial Solutions has acquired ClearStructure, a developer of management solutions for investors.

Broadridge delivers SaaS technology to over 550 hedge funds, traditional asset managers and fund administrators. The technology improves trading and operations with tools which enhance portfolio management, support fund administration and ease risk management.

With the addition of ClearStructure, it will boost its private debt capabilities and help it reach new clients.

The ClearStructure platform gives managers a selection of front-to-back office functionality across many asset types.

ClearStructure CEO Scott Turley said, “We’re delighted to join Broadridge and to offer expanded portfolio management technology to create optimum investment workflow efficiency for portfolio managers, investment analysts, risk professionals, and operations teams.”

This is the third acquisition to be made by Broadridge this year. Last month, the company bought the regulatory and marketing content management company Appatura. The company helps streamline the composition of communications in an automated manner while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Its other acquisition of the year was of Fi360, a data and analytics solution for financial advisors and intermediaries.

Broadridge head of asset management solutions Eric Bernstein said, “ClearStructure’s component services enhance our existing multi-asset class, front-to-back office solution, providing our clients with a unique capability to access the public and private markets.

“This acquisition aligns to Broadridge’s strategy of providing a true cross-asset platform to enable asset management clients to have a single view into their entire book of business.”
