Investment app Vested Finance scores $3.6m in its seed round

Online investment platform Vested Finance has scored $3.6m in its seed round, which will help it hire talent across the US and India.

The round was supported by Moving Capital, Ovo Fund, TenOneTen Ventures, Inflection Point Ventures and Venture Catalysts.

Funds from the round will be used to accelerate the product development and hire staff across its US and Indian offices.

The Silicon Valley-based FinTech enables Indian investors to invest in the US stock market. The zero-commission online platform requires no minimum balance and enables users to invest in US stocks within minutes. Users can back individual stocks or ETFs, or choose a curated portfolio.

Vested witnessed strong growth in 2020, with its accounts growing by 26-times and processing over $100m in trades.

To support Indian investors, Vested has partnered with over 25 brokers, FinTechs and wealth management firms in India.

Vested Finance CEO and co-founder Viram Shah said, “Individuals in India have been contributing to the top and bottom line of international companies for decades, but have never had the chance to create wealth by investing in them.

“Our goal is to build the easiest U.S. investing platform for Indian investors, and our growth to date has proven that interest in the opportunity is strong and increasing. Our focus following this seed round is on accelerating product development to create a seamless and cost-effective end-to-end U.S. investing experience.”
