Singapore-based InsurTech bolttech has appointed Dr. Jens Schädler as chief executive officer (CEO), Europe.
According to a report from Reinsurance News, Dr. Schädler will be succeeding Andrew Cons, whose time at the company has come to an end after four years.
bolttech has positioned itself as a world-leading embedded insurance provider.
The company is a global B2B2C InsurTech that leverages its insurance exchange to connect insurers with distributors and their customers.
With licenses to operate in more than 30 markets throughout Asia and Europe and all 50 US states, bolttech’s platform aims to provide businesses inside and outside the insurance industry everything they need to offer insurance products to meet their customers’ evolving insurance and protection needs in the digital age.
Based in Switzerland, Dr. Schädler will provide strategic leadership across bolttech’s Europe operations, driving new and existing market and partnership growth.
Dr. Schädler was previously head of device protection, europe, and general manager, Central Europe. In this role he supported business partners, ranging from international telecommunications operators, and manufacturers and retailers in the consumer electronics and medical device industries, to drive profitable growth.
According to the bolttech, since becoming part of the company, Dr. Schädler has been a key member of the bolttech executive leadership team, driving strategy and business development across the region.

In December last year, bolttech selected Sapiens, a global provider of software solutions for the insurance industry, for its P&C core platform.
