This collaboration reflects the shared aspiration of both institutions for enhanced financial inclusion and contemporary banking services in the Philippines.
The investment is set to see Cebuana Lhuillier Bank overhaul its operations, implementing Orion’s advanced Temenos core banking platform. With a current clientele of 6 million Filipinos, the bank is ambitious, aiming to extend its financial services to over 11 million customers within the next half-decade.
Cebuana Lhuillier Bank has been instrumental in advancing the Filipino economy by providing credit and savings accounts tailored to individuals, micro, small, and medium enterprises. Given that more than half of the nation’s 113m inhabitants live in rural settings, the bank’s services are pivotal in addressing the financial requirements of these remote and often neglected communities.
Orion, possessing a suite of progressive digital services and technology solutions, enables banks to upgrade outdated systems, conceive revolutionary products, and tap into fresh business ventures. Boasting a formidable presence in countries like the Philippines, India, and Singapore, Orion is set on a determined expansion route in the APAC region.
