Digiseq and Unlimit score with wearable payments at the Rugby World Cup

Digiseq

Digiseq and Unlimit have entered into a partnership aimed at elevating the financial interaction experience for Rugby fans.

The inception of this new product emerges from a distinct need to blend technology with convenience, especially in the thriving domain of international sports events. By introducing contactless prepaid key fobs, Digiseq and Unlimit seek to streamline financial transactions for guests and staff, thereby enhancing the overall user experience at large-scale events like the Rugby World Cup 2023.

Digiseq, recognised for transforming physical objects into contactless payment devices, has carved its niche in the FinTech industry by integrating innovative wearable technology with financial solutions. On the flip side, Unlimit shines in the domain with its robust BaaS platform, extending customised prepaid account solutions that seamlessly align with varied user requirements and technological integrations.

The newly launched product synergises Digiseq’s technological prowess in wearables with Unlimit’s sophisticated BaaS platform to forge contactless prepaid key fobs. These fobs, enabled by Digiseq’s technology and integrated with Unlimit’s prepaid accounts, permit users to check their fund balances simply by tapping the fob against their phones, introducing a new level of convenience and financial control in an interactive and immersive format.

Amidst the excitement of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, these fobs were distributed to 1000 guests, including staff and VIPs from World Cup partners like Capgemini, Jaguar Land Rover, and Asahi Beer, fostering a seamless, contactless payment experience. Enabling attendees to manage everyday expenses without the hassle of physical payment modes, the fobs not only enhanced the user experience but also streamlined financial transactions in the dynamic environment of the event.

The collaboration between Digiseq and Unlimit, highlighted through this product launch, heralds a new era where FinTech intersects with the sports sector, promising potential for further advancements and integrations in future global sporting events.

Digiseq solutions integration manager Iain Case said, “Digiseq’s innovative use of wearable tech is opening the gateway to countless exciting and immersive experiences for millions of sports fans, all of which are now easily accessible through wearable gadgets that effortlessly travel with them.”
