Nuvei Corporation has introduced direct connectivity to BLIK, Poland’s prominent mobile payment method, among its array of 669 Alternative Payment Methods (APMs).

This strategic addition aims to bolster eCommerce offerings through a unified integration platform.

By incorporating BLIK into their suite of payment methods, the Canadian FinTech seeks to cater to evolving consumer preferences and demands within the eCommerce landscape. BLIK, renowned for its seamless mobile payment capabilities, presents a compelling option for online transactions.

Beyond conventional BLIK payments, Nuvei’s offering extends to BLIK One Click, enabling merchants to simplify subsequent transactions. This functionality stores consumers’ financial details post the initial transaction, streamlining subsequent purchases through a hassle-free single-click user experience.

The move is also set to facilitate instantaneous payments directly through BLIK users’ mobile banking applications. This feature-rich APM is affiliated with 19 major financial institutions in Poland and has facilitated an impressive 2.8bn transactions, totalling 371.4bn Polish zloty in just eight years. Users with accounts in these institutions can effortlessly execute online transfers using a unique six-digit code generated within their banking app.

BLIK operates as a standard for mobile payments, accessible to nearly every customer using mobile applications offered by domestic payment institutions. The system is continually enhanced by the Polish Payment Standard (Polski Standard Płatności, PSP) through collaborations with major banking entities.
