Finbridge Global secures £500K investment to revolutionise FinTech-FI partnerships

Finbridge Global, an innovative force within the FinTech sector, has recently announced a significant boost to its operations with a fresh investment.

Industrial Thought, a collective geared towards reshaping the wealth management landscape, has infused Finbridge Global with a total of £500K. This injection comprises £150K in cash and an additional £350K worth of strategic support, marking a new chapter in the company’s journey towards fostering impactful FinTech partnerships.

Operating in a vibrant market, Finbridge Global stands out as a unique platform dedicated to bridging the gap between financial institutions (FIs) and FinTech startups.

With an impressive array of around 30,000 FinTech startups globally and a market valuation of £252bn – £15.9bn of which is attributed to the UK alone – the potential for collaboration is immense. Despite this, the process of finding and comparing FinTech capabilities remains a hurdle, limiting the scope for meaningful partnerships. Finbridge Global addresses this challenge head-on with its smart assessment engine, designed to meticulously evaluate a FinTech’s fit with financial institutions, thereby streamlining the Request for Information (RFI) process and fostering potent alliances.

Barbara Gottardi, the dynamic CEO and founder of Finbridge Global, said, “FIs recognise that they can reap major benefits from technology innovators in areas such as operational efficiency and better consumer outcomes. Yet, while most of these organisations are keen to engage fintechs, they struggle to get the information they need to establish trust. Our goal is to simplify the process, promote transparency, and ultimately facilitate progress.

“Working with the right partners is key to achieving positive outcomes, which also applies to our own growth as a technology startup. The investment from Industrial Thought allows us to cement our positioning, build strategic partnerships, and encourage adoption in the UK, before expanding the platform’s global footprint in 2024. We’re incredibly pleased to work with the team and leverage their expertise.”

Nuno Godinho, Group CEO of Industrial Thought, added, “Finbridge Global’s commitment to collaboration reflects our firm belief in the power of partnerships to fast-track the future of financial services. The technology behind the platform stands out for its comprehensive capabilities and streamlined approach, and the standardised assessment criteria is a crucial element to build trust.”
