Tietoevry Care has announced a partnership with the Wellbeing Services County of Satakunta, a regional authority dedicated to health and social services in Finland.

This collaboration centres on the deployment of Tietoevry’s Lifecare client information system, designed to enhance and unify social care services across the county.

The motivation behind this partnership is clear: to consolidate Satakunta’s social care services, which currently rely on six different information systems. By implementing the Lifecare system, the county aims to foster a more integrated, efficient approach to managing and understanding the needs of social care customers. This shift promises not only to improve service quality for Satakunta’s approximately 215,000 residents but also to empower them with the ability to access their information through Kanta services in the future.

Tietoevry Care is at the forefront of developing technology solutions that cater to the healthcare sector. For over a decade, it has been instrumental in providing health and social care systems across Finland, serving a total of 2.4 million Finns with its Lifecare system. This system is renowned for its ability to offer comprehensive solutions that enhance the transparency and flow of information between healthcare professionals and their clients.

The Wellbeing Services County of Satakunta is committed to offering high-quality, comprehensive social care services. The adoption of the Lifecare system marks a significant step towards achieving this goal by simplifying the work of social care professionals and promoting a more cohesive service offering throughout the region.

The partnership is further underscored by its potential benefits to both residents and professionals within the county. The unified client information system is set to replace the six disparate systems currently in use, heralding a new era of efficiency and quality in social care services.

Among the voices championing this initiative, ICT Director Leena Ollonqvist and Head of Tietoevry Care in Finland, Tiina Tauru, have expressed their enthusiasm. Ollonqvist highlights the transformative impact of consolidating client information systems, while Tauru emphasizes the system’s role in streamlining work for social services professionals, thereby enhancing the quality and comprehensiveness of care provided to residents.

“The developing Lifecare system benefits both the residents in the county and social care professionals. The system simplifies and streamlines the work of professionals in different social services locations by promoting the offering of high-quality and comprehensive social care services. Lifecare is a comprehensive solution that increases transparency, improves information flow, and provides real-time information to all users,” says Tietoevry Care Head Tiina Tauru.

The implementation of the Lifecare system is scheduled for the fall of 2024, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to improve health and social care services in Finland.
