Farmers Insurance announced the significant appointment of Eric Coleman as President of Business Insurance.
In this pivotal role, Coleman will oversee commercial underwriting, product development, strategic direction, financial planning, and new market initiatives. He will directly report to Raul Vargas, the Chief Executive Officer of Farmers Insurance.
Eric Coleman is an experienced professional in the InsurTech sector, bringing over 20 years of industry expertise to Farmers Insurance. His career has been marked by senior leadership positions, notably at Nationwide, where he was instrumental in leading the small commercial business unit. This role saw him managing a wide national product portfolio along with regional operations, underwriting, processing, and sales efforts. Prior to his time at Nationwide, Coleman held significant roles at Travelers, where his focus was on regional leadership and home office product management.
