7AI raises $130m to expand enterprise AI security

AI security specialist 7AI, which develops autonomous AI agents for enterprise cybersecurity, has raised $130m in a Series A round.

The round was led by Index Ventures, with new investor Blackstone Innovations Investments joining alongside Greylock, CRV, Spark and all existing seed backers. The deal represents the largest cybersecurity Series A on record and follows the company’s emergence from stealth mode in February 2025. Index Ventures partner Shardul Shah will also join the firm’s board of directors, and the total capital raised now reaches $166m.

7AI is known for building dynamic security agents that autonomously respond to alerts and conduct investigations across major enterprises. Its technology underpins what the business describes as an “agentic security” movement that replaces traditional manual response processes with automated analysis and resolution.

The fresh backing will be used to expand 7AI’s AI security engineering capabilities and strengthen its go-to-market strategy, which relies on a channel-first model. The firm said it will grow its Boston-based expert services team to support customers through deployment, proof-of-value and production phases.

Demand for its platform has accelerated as companies attempt to cope with increasingly complex threat volumes. In the ten months since launch, 7AI claims its agents have processed more than 2.5m alerts and completed over 650,000 investigations. Clients report both lower false-positive rates and a shift in workforce focus, redeploying analysts to proactive threat-hunting roles as automation handles time-consuming triage tasks.

7AI’s deployment models provide flexible configuration. Enterprises can use its platform independently or incorporate PLAID, a bespoke layer that combines automation with hands-on support from the company. Customers include major names across finance, retail, healthcare and technology, such as DXC Technology, which launched what it described as the largest agentic security operation globally in just eight weeks.

7AI CEO and co-founder Lior Div said, “There’s a fundamental flaw in how we’ve approached security operations for the past two decades. We keep adding more people and detection tools to handle exponentially increasing threats and alerts. The math just doesn’t work.”
