India FinTech Funding H1 2026

Key Indian FinTech investment stats in H1 2026:

  • Indian FinTech investments increased 73% YoY in H1
  • Funding is expected to grow 29% in 2026 as investors prioritise larger deals

Indian FinTech investments increased 73% YoY in H1

The Indian FinTech market attracted $2.8bn across 94 deals in H1 2026.

That represents a 73% increase in funding and a 36% rise in deal activity compared to the $1.6bn raised across 69 deals in H1 2025.

Measured against 2025, which saw $4.4bn raised across 180 deals, H1 2026 has already accounted for 65% of that annual funding total within just the first half of the year.

Funding is expected to grow 29% in 2026 as investors prioritise larger deals

The average deal value in H1 2026 stood at $30m, 27% above the $23.6m recorded in H1 2025 and 23% ahead of the $24.3m average seen across 2025.

That suggests investors are channelling capital into larger, more targeted opportunities rather than spreading commitments broadly across the market.

Should the current pace be sustained across the second half of 2026, the sector would be on course to raise $5.6bn across 188 deals for the year.

That would represent a 29% increase in funding and a 4% rise in deal activity compared to 2025.

The gap between those two figures is telling.

Funding is set to grow at a far faster rate than deal volumes, pointing to a maturing investment landscape where rising deal values and growing investor conviction are doing more of the heavy lifting than a simple increase in transaction activity.

KreditBee, an online credit solutions provider serving young professionals across personal, business and secured lending products, raised $280m in a Series E round, making it one of the biggest Indian FinTech deals of the first half of the year

The round was co-led by Hornbill Capital and Motilal Oswal, with participation from Advent International, Premji Invest, MUFG and other institutional investors.

The raise values KreditBee at $1.5bn, giving the company unicorn status. The platform serves over 180 million individuals, with more than 80 million registered customers and over 15 million unique loan customers.

Its product suite spans personal loans, business loans, loans against property and two-wheeler loans.

The company is currently merging its technology and NBFC entities ahead of a planned IPO.

Proceeds will primarily be used to strengthen KreditBee’s lending book and balance sheet in preparation for the listing.
