Tietoevry Banking, a leading provider of financial SaaS solutions with operations across the Nordics and beyond, has entered a strategic partnership with Tapeeze, a Swedish FinTech specialising in digital wallet and tokenisation technology for physical payment cards.
The collaboration aims to enable banks, FinTechs and branded organisations—such as sports clubs, car manufacturers and music festivals—to issue custom-branded, multifunctional payment cards without complex infrastructure or regulatory approvals. These cards will integrate flexible, secure payment capabilities, leveraging Visa™ and Mastercard™ networks while fostering stronger customer and fan engagement.
Tietoevry Banking brings decades of expertise in payments, fraud prevention, lending and WealthTech, supporting clients in over 60 countries. Its solutions are designed to be modular and scalable, enabling rapid product deployment. Tapeeze, founded in 2024, is known for enabling tokenised payment features typically found in digital wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay, but now delivered via physical cards.
The partnership will allow non-banking entities to launch fully personalised, secure cards using Tietoevry Banking’s cost-effective and sustainable production methods. Tapeeze contributes its skim-proof tokenisation and optional biometric security to enhance card safety and utility. This marks the first time such advanced payment technology has been made available globally to organisations outside of the traditional banking sector.
The technology has already been adopted by prominent Swedish sports clubs, including AIK, Björklöven, Timrå IK and Djurgården.
