EPG taps Volt for real-time paylado wallet top-ups

EPG Financial Services has partnered with Volt to enable real-time open banking payments for its e-wallet solution, paylado, aiming to replace manual bank transfers with instant account-to-account transactions.

Paylado, which primarily serves the German market, allows users to top up their wallets manually via a network of cash deposit devices or traditional bank transfers. However, these manual processes can take up to five days to complete and are susceptible to errors, slowing down the customer experience for users seeking to deposit with licensed iGaming merchants.

Seeking a more efficient solution, EPG selected Volt for its resilient bank connectivity across Germany and its optimised top-up user experience. Volt’s technology will allow paylado users to fund their wallets instantly and enable payouts from paylado back to users’ bank accounts, a feature that EPG believes is critical for iGaming merchants.

EPG Financial Services CEO Rupert Kainzbauer said, “We chose Volt because of its multiple connections to bank APIs, in addition to its broad geographic coverage. We have absolute confidence that this will translate into a superior customer experience for paylado users, who can now make top-ups and initiate payouts much faster. We look forward to exploring further use cases with Volt as the transformative power of open banking becomes more apparent.”

Volt business development director and resident WealthTech expert Anna Gladka said, “We’re thrilled to go live with paylado. From the moment we began speaking with EPG Financial Services, it became clear how closely our product capabilities align with their needs – and, despite only recently going live, we’re already talking about further ways of working together. Above all, the partnership is further evidence of the strength of our network and the onward customer experience that it facilitates.”
