Chinese early-stage venture firm Source Code Capital has reached a final close of its third US dollar fund at a $260m hard cap.

Health insurance startup Better has raised $1.1m in a seed funding round. Initialized Capital led the investment with Designer Fund and angel investors also participating.

Mortgage tech provider to lenders MortgageHippo has secured $2.5m in a Seed round of funding. The investment comes from CMFG Ventures, the VC are of CUNA Mutual Group.

New Zealand Stock Exchange-listed accounting software-maker Xero has landed $26.4m from US late-stage investor Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV).

Blockchain-as-a-service company Factom has extended its Series A round to more than $8m. Peeli Ventures, Harvest Equity and a number of local Austin investors joined the extended round.

Belgian InsurTech startup Qover has picked up ?5.5m in a Series A round led by Anthemis Group. The round also saw participation from existing backers Belcube and Callat?y & Wouters Ventures.

Private equity firm Silver Lake Partners has raised $15bn for its fifth tech-focused fund. The fund’s investors are undisclosed.
