Coast Capital Savings partners with ebankIT to grow its online banking

Canadian credit union Coast Capital Savings has partnered with ebankIT to help the credit union enhance its digital banking offerings.

The partnership was formed after Coast Capital identified ebankIT, a digital banking platform, as the best fit to increase its own online banking services which needs to cater to changing demands.

Over the next year, Coast Capital’s banking services will be transitioned to ebankIT, which will be met by some changes, according to the company.

ebankIT is an omni-channel digital banking platform which helps banks and credit unions to offer online solutions. Some of the services it develops include mobile and internet banking, smartwatch banking, account opening, and augmented reality.

Coast Capital Savings chief transformation officer Jeff Wong said, “With ebankIT’s versatile platform and award-winning digital banking experience, we will be able to offer a wide range of exciting new features to Coast Capital members in the future along, with rich security and personalisation features.

“The ebankIT platform also has the flexibility to integrate with third-party solutions, which will enable Coast Capital to drive ongoing digital channel innovation.”

Last week there were a couple of institutions which formed partnerships with FinTechs to help bolster their own online banking solutions.

Starling Bank was one of the organisations to do so, forming a partnership with personal finance app Money Dashboard. Through the deal, Money Dashboard users can link their Starling account to access a real-time view of transactions and savings goals. Beyond this, they will also receive planning tools which can help them meet their goals and forecast their savings.

Last week also saw FinTech startup builder FinLeap partner with open banking and FinTech services platform Fabrick to launch a new company in Italy. Together, the companies will launch Beesy, a digital financial management solution designed to simplify accounting, tax and banking services for micro enterprises and freelancers.
