InsurTech Obie teams up with Marketplace to better manage risk

Obie, an InsurTech startup that offers insurance risk management for real estate investors, has partnered with Marketplace Homes to better manage risk for its properties.

Obie claims it is reinventing the insurance process for landlords and rental property investors. Quotes can be requested in under five minutes, resulting in less paperwork and lengthy wait times.

The company wants to help everyone achieve the dream of owning and renting property, and this dream shouldn’t be complicated, “whether that’s a young family renting out their first home, or a seasoned investor with a portfolio of properties,” the company said.

Obie said its technology simplifies the landlord insurance search without cutting corners, providing one of the fastest ways to obtain landlord insurance.

Through landlord insurance provided by Obie, Marketplace Homes clients can better manage their risk, ensuring that both themselves and their properties are properly protected.

Marketplace Homes said it looks forward to continuing to enrich our service offerings to clients, including access to Obie.

Earlier this year, Obie was selected by Nestment as its insurance partners to streamline the insurance process for co-buyers.

Nestment said it selected Obie as their insurance partner to streamline the insurance process for co-buyers. Co-buying is simply purchasing an asset, in this case property, with another party, such as a business partner, friend, or family member.

Through this partnership co-buying groups will be able to obtain insurance on their property faster than ever, while also having a clear place to organise and divide financial responsibility within the Nestment platform.

Obie also recently partnered with digital lending marketplace Loanbase. With its digital lending marketplace offering, Loanbase provides real estate investors with the financing they need to grow their portfolios. Borrows get instant access to thousands of vetted lenders and multiple real-time quotes.
