Wells Fargo, a prominent American multinational financial services company, has taken an inclusive step in the digitalisation of its services.

Responding to a growing need among Americans for assistance in making financial decisions, Wells Fargo has decided to make its LifeSync platform accessible to all its consumer customers, according to Finextra.

The decision comes at a time when, according to a Logica Research study, Americans, especially Gen Z, are seeking financial advice more than ever, especially concerning navigating their finances during uncertain economic periods.

Wells Fargo is a renowned financial institution that provides a wide range of financial services. Their offerings range from banking and investment solutions to wealth and portfolio management for their vast clientele.

Originally introduced at the end of March exclusively for the 2.6m wealth and investment management clients, the LifeSync platform is now accessible through the Wells Fargo app for all consumers. It offers real-time progress on financial goals, giving customers a comprehensive view of their “vitals”, including net worth, portfolio performance, market indices, FICO scores, and even credit card reward balances.

This expanded accessibility of LifeSync marks a significant step in Wells Fargo’s move towards a digital-first approach. The platform’s wide range of tracking capabilities underscores the bank’s commitment to ensuring that their customers are well-equipped to make informed financial decisions.

Wells Fargo’s forward-thinking move comes as financial institutions globally look to leverage digital platforms in an effort to provide better, more accessible services and advice to their clients.

Wells Fargo head of advice and planning Michael Liersch said, “Expanding availability of LifeSync to our consumer customers is the first proof point in Wells Fargo’s strategic delivery of digital-first, personalised financial advice and planning offerings.”
