Visa and AWS partner to revolutionise global digital payments landscape

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has announced its integration into the AWS Partner Network (APN), a global community that utilizes AWS technologies to create diverse solutions for customers.

This partnership aims to streamline access for Visa’s partners and clients, including FinTechs and financial institutions, to integrate Visa’s services more seamlessly.

The primary goal of this partnership is to simplify and enhance the accessibility of Visa’s payment solutions across global markets by leveraging AWS’s extensive platform and customer base. This integration is particularly aimed at supporting Visa’s cloud-native FinTech and enterprise clients, facilitating easier and more efficient access to Visa’s services.

Under this partnership, Visa will make select payment services available in the AWS Marketplace, which serves over 300,000 global customers and offers thousands of software listings. One of the initial services includes Visa Cross-Border Solutions, designed to aid businesses in managing global transactions and maintaining multiple currencies more effectively.

Visa is also part of AWS Activate, a program designed to provide startups with the resources needed to get started on AWS. Visa’s FinTech clients in the Fast Track program can now receive up to $100,000 in AWS Activate credits, enhancing their ability to develop and scale their solutions quickly.

Visa Global Head of Innovation and Digital Partnerships, Vanessa Colella, said, “Visa is dedicated to better serving our clients in cloud environments, which is why we’re excited to bring Visa Cross-Border Solutions to the AWS Marketplace. We aim to make our solutions readily accessible and available for customers to easily integrate across diverse platforms. This is a step further in our broader commitment to reduce challenges for financial institutions and enterprises.”

AWS VP and Global Head of Startups, Howard Wright, said, “We are excited to support the expansion of digital payments, banking, and embedded finance capabilities to enterprises and fintech startups building their applications on AWS. We are looking forward to working with Visa to help make financial apps in the cloud more accessible, faster, secure, and easier to use.”
