StarCompliance and Moomoo target insider trading risk

RegTech firm StarCompliance has signed Moomoo Financial Singapore as a third-party data vendor.

The deal gives compliance teams a sharper tool for overseeing how employees trade in their own accounts.

Through the arrangement, broker feed data from Moomoo Singapore will flow automatically into the Star compliance platform. Firms using Star can therefore supervise staff personal account dealing with less manual effort and a higher degree of accuracy, as trade information arrives without the need for manual collection or re-keying.

The partnership comes as insider trading continues to pose a serious danger to fair and orderly markets.

Regulators keep raising the bar on what they expect from firms, while those seeking to abuse confidential information keep changing their methods. In response, financial institutions are leaning on technology to strengthen surveillance, cut dependence on manual workflows and spot questionable conduct before it becomes an expensive breach.

Automated handling of broker feeds is gaining ground as one answer to this challenge. When the receipt and review of these feeds is automated, compliance staff can rapidly compare employee trades with corporate announcements and other price-sensitive information, reducing the scope for mistakes and accelerating processing.

Star offers firms software to manage personal trading in line with internal policies and to watch for conflicts that may signal compliance risk.

Its tools also enforce cooling-off periods and trading windows to block improper transactions, automate surveillance so high-risk behaviour is caught promptly, keep audit trails that support investigations and regulatory enquiries, and issue real-time alerts so teams can intervene early.

Moomoo Singapore describes itself as the leading investment app in the city-state and passed 2m users in June 2026. The brokerage is continuing to adopt technology designed both to improve the trading experience and to protect market integrity.

StarCompliance said that seamless data integrations have become vital in a regulatory landscape where AI is sharply shortening investigation times and revealing patterns that previously went unnoticed.

The firm added that the Moomoo Singapore tie-up supports its aim of offering on-demand configurability and multi-jurisdictional integrity to clients in 114 countries.
