Earnix names Matthew Twist as VP of sales for EMEA

Earnix, the leader in Dynamic AI for Intelligent Decisioning in the insurance and banking industries, has appointed Matthew Twist as vice president, sales, EMEA, as the firm looks to strengthen its commercial presence across the region.

Twist brings more than 25 years of experience driving commercial growth across the insurance, technology and high-growth software sectors. He joins Earnix from AI InsurTech firm Concirrus, where he held the role of chief revenue officer, overseeing sales, marketing, customer success and solution consulting.

The hire comes at a time when insurers are attempting to shift AI from isolated pilot projects towards delivering tangible business results. Despite having access to large volumes of data, AI tools and technical know-how, many insurers still struggle to convert that intelligence into decisions that can be made quickly, confidently and with appropriate oversight.

This challenge sits at the centre of Earnix’s recent launch of AIOS, an AI orchestration system built specifically for the insurance sector. The platform is designed to help insurers link intelligence directly to core business functions such as pricing, underwriting and customer engagement, combining predictive, generative and agentic AI within governed workflows so that insurers can reach faster, more accurate and defensible decisions that support growth, profitability and risk management.

In his new position, Twist will be responsible for driving commercial growth and expanding the customer base across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He is expected to collaborate closely with insurers and strategic partners to identify their key business challenges and speed up adoption of Earnix’s AI-driven pricing, underwriting and decisioning tools.

Earnix describes itself as the first AI company built specifically for insurance decisioning, offering the sector the intelligence, governance and decisioning agility needed to support profitable growth, strengthen resilience and operate quickly and precisely amid a shifting risk landscape.

Drawing on more than 25 years of expertise in artificial intelligence, risk, pricing, rating, analytics and decisioning, Earnix integrates vertical AI into the workflows and decisions shaping insurance performance, spanning pricing, underwriting, claims, customer engagement and retention.

Earnix vice president, sales, EMEA, Matthew Twist said, “Insurance has reached an important inflection point. Insurers are ready to move beyond isolated AI experiments, but success depends on connecting intelligence to the decisions and workflows that shape business performance every day.

“What attracted me to Earnix is its deep understanding of the challenges insurers are trying to solve. Decisions around pricing, underwriting and customer engagement require domain expertise, governance, explainability and human oversight. Earnix brings those capabilities together, helping insurers turn intelligence into action while maintaining the confidence and control this industry demands.

“I am excited to work with customers and partners across EMEA, understand the challenges holding them back and help them use Earnix’s technology to achieve measurable improvements in growth, profitability and customer outcomes.”

Earnix CEO Robin Gilthorpe said, “Our customers are not looking for more AI tools. They are looking for practical ways to turn intelligence into better decisions, faster and with greater control. Matthew understands both the commercial realities insurers face and how technology can be applied to solve meaningful business challenges.

“His appointment is an important part of our strategy to expand Earnix’s presence and deepen our customer relationships across EMEA, alongside our continued growth in North America, Latin America and other key markets. Matthew brings the experience, market understanding and customer focus needed to build on the momentum we are seeing across the region.”
