Female-focused investment platform Ellevest has raised up to $32.6m in its latest funding round.

The company has a goal of just over $34.6m, but it is unclear if this figure is a target or hard cap, according to the latest US Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

So far, Ellevest has registered commitments from 25 investors.

Ellevest is an investment platform designed for women to help them achieve their financial goals. Through the platform users fill out a survey about themselves and their goals, which is then translated into a custom contribution, timeline and diverse investment portfolio for the various goals.

The application gives users the power to change the timeline, make recurring contributions and the initial deposits, as well as setting an allocating budget.

Including this latest round, total capital raised by Ellevest has reached up to $51m, with the company receiving a $9m venture round last September.
