Nine25 links with Blossom to launch ESG-focused savings product

Nine25

Nine25, a firm committed to making financial processes seamless, has announced a fresh collaboration with Blossom.

This strategic partnership aims to tap into the increasing demand among younger Australians for more meaningful financial products. With nearly 10 million Australians under the age of 30 conveying the need for financial products to be more responsive and aligned with their values, the duo believes this new product will address a significant market gap.

Originating as a single-product platform, Nine25 has evolved into Australia’s rapidly growing money app. With its innovative offerings, the company now presents a cohesive way for users to send, spend, save, invest, and borrow. Attracting thousands of new customers each week, Nine25 stands by its vision of redefining the financial landscape, making money more relatable, and instantly accessible.

Titled “Nine25 Earn”, this market-leading savings product offers customers the opportunity to benefit from Blossom’s ESG-considered, fixed-income investment products. It promises to provide targeted returns from fixed income investments, compounded daily, enabling customers to witness their savings augment consistently.

Blossom’s responsible investment approach is crucial to the product’s philosophy. Their ESG considerations are twofold: exclusions and integration, steering clear of Thermal Coal producers, Tobacco, and controversial weapons. This dedication to responsible investing is likely to resonate with users, especially those aged 18 to 26, a demographic keen on supporting brands reflecting their values.

Furthermore, data from global studies underlines the changing consumer ethos, with 75% of respondents expecting brands to adopt more sustainable practices in the future. Moreover, 70% emphasised the importance of brands addressing issues pertinent to their generation.

Blossom co-founder Gaby Rosenberg commented, “We’re very excited to have Nine25 on board as a distribution partner. It’s an exciting opportunity for both of us and we’re very keen to see the tremendous growth that this partnership is sure to deliver.”

Nine25 Founder Leigh Dunsford expressed, “We wanted a savings product to sit alongside Nine25 Invest, our wealth building product. Our users will now have the perfect product for market-leading targeted returns on savings. And with returns compounding daily, customers are going to see their savings work as hard as they are.”

He further elaborated, “Blossom has demonstrated that you can democratise fixed income investing for the first time, target higher-returns and you can also do good along the way and that’s why we’re very excited to offer our customers this product directly in the Nine25 App.” Highlighting the app’s user-centric approach, Dunsford added, “Our goal is to simplify money by bringing different financial products together in a unified way within a single modern app. This is another step towards that goal.”
