Ryan finalises CAD $700m acquisition of Altus Group’s property tax services

Ryan, a global leader in tax services and software solutions, has completed its CAD $700m acquisition of Altus Group Limited’s property tax services business.

As part of the acquisition, Ryan will also take ownership of Altus’s itamlink property tax management software, bolstering its tax.com™ software offerings.

The acquisition establishes Ryan’s property tax services presence in the United Kingdom, while further expanding its reach and expertise across Canada and the United States. With approximately 1,000 Altus team members now joining Ryan, the firm is better positioned to deliver comprehensive tax services across key markets.

In 2023, Altus Group’s property tax services business generated CAD $263m in revenue, making this acquisition a strong complement to Ryan’s existing offerings.

The deal also includes a three-year subscription to Altus Market Insights, which enhances Ryan’s data-driven capabilities by providing valuable market intelligence tools. This addition is expected to fuel further innovation and excellence in Ryan’s growing property tax practice.
