Applied Systems®, a leading provider of cloud-based software that powers the business of insurance, has announced the general release of an all-new data analytics capability.

This innovative new feature, known as Epic Dashboards, is embedded within Applied Epic®, specifically for users in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

The launch of Epic Dashboards aims to democratise access to the extensive data captured within Applied Epic.

By organising this data into insightful visualisations, it helps leaders and team members across an agency to understand trends in their book of business, balance employee workload, and identify preferred carriers.

Applied Systems® is renowned for its comprehensive software solutions that streamline agency and brokerage operations.

Their products include agency management systems, data analytics, and connectivity solutions that enable insurance businesses to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

Epic Dashboards is designed to present relevant information for specific job roles in an easy-to-understand visual format.

This feature enables users to dive deeper into their business, teams, and workflows. Whether you are an individual contributor, team leader, operational admin, or agency owner, Epic Dashboards provides critical insights into customer and operational data.

The capabilities of the product include flexible performance and operating metrics views, pulse dashboards, data delivery and scheduling, alerts, data quality dashboards, and a custom dashboard builder.

These features allow users to filter and view data by various criteria, export data in preferred formats, receive scheduled reports via email, configure alerts for critical conditions, and validate data quality quickly.

The custom dashboard builder further enhances flexibility by allowing users to create visualisations tailored to their unique needs.

Additionally, Epic Dashboards include features like Pulse Dashboards, which provide a high-level landing page summarising performance and organisational productivity.

This makes it easy to drill down into specific customer details or link to other related dashboards, saving time and effort.

Anupam Gupta, chief product officer at Applied Systems, said, “Applied’s vision for data analytics is to provide best-in-class data and analytics solutions that help agencies understand what is happening in their business, make data-driven decisions, and create more intelligent and connected workflows to automate next best actions. Epic Dashboards is the next important milestone in unlocking data from the foundational agency management system to create simple, visual value so agencies can make smarter decisions across the business that positively impact their sales pipeline, financial performance, and carrier relationships.”

Sarah Klapperich, vice president, client experience at McClone Insurance, shared her experience, “My first big ‘aha!’ moment with [Epic] Dashboards was when [a carrier] announced they were exiting the market, [and] our CEO asked me how this would impact us. Historically, I would have reached out to my IT department and asked them to run a report, but because we had Dashboards, I could pull it up myself and [provide an answer] within 30 seconds. It was a really big win to access data in real-time on my own.”
