Clearstream, a central securities depository providing global post-trade services, has partnered with regulatory reporting firm Regnology.
The collaboration revolves around Clearstream’s adoption of Regnology’s Rcloud technology, powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
The partnership aims to transition Clearstream’s regulatory reporting from on-premise solutions to the cloud, leveraging the Rcloud platform. This migration signifies trust in the platform’s reliability and security and aligns with Clearstream’s compliance with strict regulations imposed by German and Luxembourg authorities.
Clearstream, as Deutsche Börse Group’s post-trade business, offers a comprehensive international securities service, handling over 250,000 daily transactions for clients in more than 110 countries. The company follows strict compliance requirements, providing solutions across global markets.
Regnology, on the other hand, specialises in software development for regulatory reporting solutions. It launched the Rcloud solution in partnership with Google Cloud in November 2022, focusing on ultra-elastic scalability, reliable reporting submission, and modern regulatory-as-a-service solutions.
The Rcloud platform offers Clearstream benefits beyond standard cloud frameworks, including improved deployment, infrastructure-as-code services, automation for run and change management, self-service via the Regnology Cloud portal, and a future-proofed architecture. Additionally, Regnology’s collaboration with Google Cloud ensures sustainability, matching 100% of electricity consumption with renewable energy purchases.
Clearstream’s decision to migrate to Rcloud is considered a landmark moment, indicating the level of trust and confidence in Regnology’s technology partnership with Google Cloud.
