KYCP unveils new identity as compliance platform

KYCP has announced a new brand identity, marking a significant milestone in the company’s journey and underlining its transformation into a comprehensive compliance and risk-management platform that stretches well beyond its original focus.

Formerly known as KYC Portal, the company had come to recognise that the market increasingly pigeonholed its brand as a provider of traditional Know Your Customer (KYC) services. Although KYC remains a fundamental part of the platform’s offering, the technology has evolved considerably since its inception.

The move to rebrand as KYCP reflects the platform’s wider ambition: to give organisations the tools they need to understand, assess, and manage the full spectrum of relationships, risks, and compliance processes across their entire business ecosystem. The new name now stands for Know Your CounterParty — a deliberate shift that highlights the platform’s capacity to evaluate all manner of counterparties, not merely those subject to standard KYC requirements.

The overhauled visual identity brings with it a refined colour palette built around deep teal and crystal aqua tones, chosen to evoke trust, security, and technological sophistication. The redesigned logo splits the letters KY and CP across two lines, a conscious decision to distance the brand from its conventional KYC associations whilst reinforcing the platform’s expanded reach and capabilities.

Alongside the visual refresh, KYCP has launched a new website and domain, aimed at improving the user experience, boosting search engine visibility, and supporting the company’s expanding digital presence. The updated online platform has been streamlined to help prospective clients more readily grasp the full breadth of what KYCP has to offer.

KYCP founder and CEO Kristoff Zammit Ciantar said, “When we originally launched KYCPortal, the platform was focused primarily on KYC processes. Over the years it has evolved into something far more powerful. Today, KYCP supports organisations across multiple layers of compliance, risk management, and operational intelligence.

“The new brand reflects that evolution. ‘Know Your Counterpart’ captures the real purpose of the platform, helping businesses truly understand the entities they work with and manage risk with confidence.”

The rebranding exercise was carried out in collaboration with brand agency Growth Gurus, which oversaw both the strategic positioning and the creative execution of the project.
