Episode Six, a global provider of enterprise-grade card issuing technology, has formed a strategic partnership with Decisionly, an AI-driven dispute automation platform, to offer issuers a combined solution spanning card infrastructure and complete dispute management.
Under the agreement, Decisionly becomes the disputes partner within Episode Six’s partner ecosystem, allowing banks and FinTechs to tap into technology across two of the most vital layers of a card programme.
The tie-up comes in reaction to growing frustration among issuers, who operate across numerous regions, currencies and products, with legacy chargeback and dispute tools that were not designed for the demands of today’s card programmes.
Decisionly’s technology automates the entire dispute lifecycle, handling regulatory obligations, network rules and bespoke programme configurations. The firm claims automation rates of over 95% from launch, alongside a reduction in manual dispute work exceeding 80%.
Because both companies operate API-first architectures and serve overlapping markets across the US, Canada and Europe, clients can move data seamlessly between the two platforms. According to the firms, this means issuers can treat disputes as a chance to improve the cardholder experience rather than an inescapable cost centre.
Episode Six, which describes itself as The World’s Local Processor™, supplies enterprise-grade card issuing and ledger infrastructure to FinTechs, banks and brands. The company is active in more than 50 countries, supports over 70 enterprise customers, and has teams across the US, Canada, UK, Europe, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and India.
Decisionly provides AI-powered, API-first dispute infrastructure to large FinTechs, banks and processors.
Episode Six CEO and co-founder John Mitchell said, “We built Episode Six to give issuers the infrastructure they need to run modern card programs, and that means addressing every layer of the stack.
“The shift towards purpose-built solutions is accelerating across payments, and disputes is one of the clearest examples of an operational function ready for transformation. By partnering with Decisionly, we can now offer those clients the solutions they need.”
Decisionly CEO and co-founder Pallavi Kuppa-Apte said, “Partnering with Episode Six was a natural fit. We share the same fundamental belief that modern card programs deserve modern technology at every layer, including disputes. Episode Six gives us a direct path to a strong and growing base of banks and fintechs already running on modern infrastructure, exactly the kind of issuers who are ready to unlock the full value of purpose-built dispute automation.”
