Howden has revealed the appontment of Amit Agarwal as the Chief Executive Officer of Howden India.
The global insurance group’s announcement will see Agarwal takes over from Praveen Vashista, who will now step up to the position of Chairman.
The news followed last month’s announcement that Howden has also acquired Media Insurance Brokers International Limited (MIB), a leading independent UK and Irish film and television broker, as the organisaion looks to continue its ambitious growth plan.

The company now aims to become a leading broker in one of the world’s fastest-growing insurance markets by 2026, and Agarwal’s appointment underlines that ambition due to his experience in the role of Director for four years in JLT’s Financial Lines and Credit & Political Risk team in Mumbai.
